Q. What does the cost of the fractional share cover?
The initial payment covers the cost of the share of the car and entitles you to use it for four weeks each year for the duration of the programme. Whenever you choose to leave the scheme a percentage of this initial payment will be returned to you - or it can be used to transfer to a different scheme. Thus you also have protection from depreciation, which is generally considered the greatest expense of outright ownership.
